Tips to count macros/calories

Here are some helpful macro/calorie counting tips

1. Plan your food the night before.

When you try to “wing it”, it rarely works out where you meet your macros. Entering into MyFitnessPal or any other tracking app helps to take away any guess work. Most of us already have a general idea of what we eat daily.

2. Be prepared! Think ahead- PLAN YOUR MEALS!!!

Don’t ‘wing’ it! Bake some chicken breast, throw some meat into a crockpot! Having meals on hand is important- especially so you don’t come home starved – just to eat whatever you can get your hans on!

Planning ahead is always a good idea you will more easily reach your goals for the day.

3 Use an app such as MyFitnessPal.

Trying to do it by hand is much more time-consuming. All you have to do is enter your foods and it will do all the math for you!

4. Don’t give up!

Keeping track of your macros can be a little tedious at first, but soon it will become second nature. Calculating your macros based on your goals will take some trial and error, but that too will get easier.

When put into practice, these strategies can certainly make calorie counting easier and help you take a healthy approach to getting healthier!!
